About South Fork Weddings (Hampton Weddings in the Hamptons)
Marguerite Schondebare - President and Founder
South Fork Weddings (Hampton Weddings) is owned by Marguerite Schondebare, a resident of Eastern Long Island for her entire life. Three years ago she opened her home in Southold as a Bed and Breakfast in 2002. In the course of operating "Always In," she hosted many guests who were in the midst of planning weddings and sought information about the area. Having been involved with all facets of community life, Marguerite realized that she had lots of information that only someone who has lived in the community for so long would have. Hence, she created "North Fork Weddings." With over 1 million visits in less than a year and growing demands for information about the Hamptons, she has teamed together with friends from the Hamptons Long Island NY to start "South Fork Weddings (Hampton Weddings)." This year Marguerite is launching EastEndCelebrations.com, a site with still greater depth that will provide even more resources for the East End.
Kimberly Burton Allen - South Fork Consultant
Kim is our insider for SouthForkWeddings.com. She moved to Southampton from East Hampton in 2002 when she and her husband, Chris, opened "A Butler's Manor," a B&B in Southampton village. She brings to us a wealth of experience and insight. First and foremost, Kim is a writer. Two of her published books bear mention here: "Wedding Wonders," a charming collection of the origins of many of the wedding customs still observed today, and "A Butler's Life," a memoir recounting the experiences of her husband, a true English butler who has worked for both European and American "royalty." As co-owner of "A Butler's Manor" she has intimate knowledge of the hospitality industry not only for lodging, but for catering services and event planning.
Linda Pasca - Staff Artist
Linda Pasca summered on the North Fork all of her life and moved here permanently six years ago with her daughter, Kayla. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Cooper Union School in New York City where she gained her skills as a calligrapher and graphic designer. Her business, pen and paper, is located in Mattituck and it is there that she does custom framing for us and other clients. We are particularly pleased to have Linda's assistance for all of our promotions and advertisements, and extremely proud to be able to offer some of her work for purchase. Her diverse artistic background places her in high demand for weddings and other special events. She is a welcomed addition not only to our staff, but to our community.
